“He’s an Incredibly Creative Individual” – AEW EVP Cody Rhodes Praises Bray Wyatt Following WWE Release

The wrestling world is not over the news of Bray Wyatt’s release from WWE, and the fans want answers. Wrestling fans are impatiently looking forward to what Wyatt will do next as the Eater of the world has a loyal fanbase.

Several pundits suggest Bray could be very well on his way to AEW as recently, fans have spotted Bray following Tony Khan on Instagram. The wrestling world is in requisite for updates, and AEW EVP Cody Rhodes has proffered the fans with one.

Cody Rhodes about WWE releasing Bray Wyatt

AEW is on the hop as they are a day away from The AEW Homecoming show. Cody Rhodes attended the media conference ahead of his bout against Malakai Black. During the press conference, Cody was asked about Bray Wyatt and his reactions to WWE’s decision to let go of one of their most fan-following characters. Cody reminded everyone that Bray was his rookie in the second season of NXT and his rivalry with the Wyatt family back in WWE.

Cody further added- “I can’t comment on if I see a spot for him when it comes to us, but I can tell you, he’s an incredibly creative individual, an incredibly creative man…  I can’t comment on if he fits in with us, but I can say, if he has an ounce of passion for this, that guy can fit in anywhere because he’s a very special, special talent. That’s really all I could say there.”(H/T Wrestling inc)

AEW cashing in on WWE’s actions

For the past few months, WWE has constantly released their talents stating difficulties in balancing the financial hassle. The likes of Andrade, Miro, Aleister Black, and more have all been released by WWE.

After their WWE release, these Superstars have ended up in AEW as Tony Khan was on his heels to sign these superstars. The Boss of AEW is ready to break the bank for two more former WWE Superstar, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.


For Bray, the former WWE Universal Champion has to first complete his 90 days non-compete clause before wrestling for any other brands. But he can decide his future in the coming weeks, and AEW is certainly an option for the former WWE Superstar.

On the other hand, The WWE universe has shown their rage at WWE for releasing their most loved wrestler in the locker room. WWE fans chanted for Wyatt during the latest episode of WWE RAW, which indicated their love for the Superstar.
