“I Don’t Study Myself” – Kenny Omega Shockingly Takes the “L” on Twitter To Rule Out a Comparison Between Him and Kurt Angle

In the past couple of years, AEW has arrived in the world of pro wrestling and eventually emerged as a competitor of the world’s biggest promotion, WWE. There has been a frequent display of intense rivalry between the two promotions with insiders of each company taking a dig at another’s. That said, the current top name of Khan’s promotion, Kenny Omega, did the reverse.

In a world full of competition, rivalry, and scorching each other, paying respect to a potential competitor never goes out of trend. AEW star Kenny Omega knows it best. Hence, he didn’t hesitate to keep the legendary Kurt Angle one step ahead of himself, while dismissing a comparison between them on social media.

The 39-year-old Canadian wrestler is presently one of the best in AEW, proving his worth through multiple achievements inside the promotion. Many fans in fact consider the former AEW and IGPW World Champion the best in the world, too. But arguably the greatest wrestler of the modern era is humble enough to give more credence to the rival promotion’s icon, Kurt Angle.

Right after his match at AEW’s Double or Nothing, Omega came across a post on Twitter that asked fans who is better out of Kurt Angle and  Kenny Omega at their respective peak times. Given the two promotions ‘ continuous rivalry, it’s never a matter of surprise to see some posts like this on a daily basis. But the fact that Omega himself came up to counter this was a real shocker for everyone. What he says in reply is even more surprising.

Kenny Omega Names WWE Hall of Famer as His Dream Match

The Cleaner retweeted that post with a caption, ”I don’t study myself when I want to learn, I study Kurt. He’s the best for a reason. I take the L – but it’d be a heck of a match 😉”

These words were enough to prove how much he respected Angle as a wrestler above everything.

On the other hand, the Hall of Famer has also reacted to the same post, expressing his mutual respect for the former AEW champion.

What Kurt Angle had to say regarding the recent comparison between him and Kenny Omega?

Wrestling fans are so passionate about the sport that they always have some imaginary dream matches that they will be up to witness anytime. One such match involves the four-time WWE champion Kurt Angle vs Kenny Omega at their peak.

The tweet upholding fans’ collective wish made the other potential performer respond as well. Kurt Angle came up with a short and significant reply saying ‘That’s a tough one!!!!,’ while retweeting the post on his wall. It clearly depicts that he didn’t take lightly his potential future opponent at all. Also, Angle has been very complimentary of Omega in the past.

However, the 54-year-old is yet to respond after the huge praise received from Omega regarding that post.

While we still don’t know if it gives a slight hint about a future match between them or not, we can at least hope for one.
