WWE Superstar and pro-wrestling icon, John Cena, recently put the industry on notice. The former face of WWE appeared on the Tonight Show show with Jimmy Fallon to discuss his new projects and return to WWE.

In the interview, ‘The Cenation Leader’ confirmed that he would definitely come back to the squared circle.

However, his work obligations in Hollywood are on full swing right now, and in Cena‘s words, “Once you do one of these things, the insurance doesn’t let you go wrestle on the weekends.” Cena has some “giant” projects coming up including three big movies.

Upon receiving the news, AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker decided to chime in.

The AEW Women’s champion is quite the multitasker herself as a dentist and a backstage interviewer. She reiterated these same feelings as she retweeted Fallon’s video with Cena, writing, “Okay cool but I’m the champ and a dentist.”

What is John Cena up to these days?

Let’s backtrack a little here: Cena’s last match in WWE was at WrestleMania 36 last year. Cena fell prey to Bray Wyatt aka The Fiend in a widely acclaimed cinematic match and disappeared from WWE television in all shapes and forms.

However, in reality, the most-loved (and hated) WWE superstar was working for his Hollywood projects. He bagged a pivotal anti-hero’s role in the famous Fast and Furious franchise.

F9 races to US theaters on Friday, June 25. The movie already has received widespread acclaim thanks to its overseas release in Asia. Cena’s next big project is the DCEU movie The Suicide Squad. There, he plays the role of ‘Peacemaker’, an anti-hero again.

The DC movie will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6. After this, he will shoot the Peacemaker TV series, a spin-off about the character, in addition to a brand new comedy film Vacation Friends.

Cena will also return as a host for the TV Show Wipe Out. Considering all this, the 16-time World Champion has his hands full. Since he is passionate about sports entertainment, John Cena would not just come back for a brief moment, it seems.
