Jake Hager on The Undertaker’s Wrath: “I Did Something Which He Didn’t Like”

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and current AEW Superstar Jake Hager had quite a run with WWE. At first, the company thought of him as a main event player and then they completely lost faith in him. However, Jake Hager recently revealed in an interview about the time when WWE legend The Undertaker took him aside and showered some words of wisdom on him, which he sticks to all these years later.

Since leaving WWE Hager made quite a name for himself in the world of MMA where he fought in the heavyweight division. However, he shocked his fans when he appeared for Tony Khan’s AEW.

Speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Jake Hager recalled a moment when The Phenom gave the former champion advice about handling himself while being the top guy in the industry.

Jake Hager reveals what The Undertaker told him
Speaking on the podcast, the current AEW superstar talked about how the Deadman pulled him aside to correct him. The WWE legend explained the worth of being on top and how to be financially sound as well.
“Undertaker pulled me aside, I did something which he didn’t like. And so he made a point to tell me about it. But it was a good talk. And he pulled me aside, and he was like, ‘Look, this job is only worth it. If you’re on top, as far as financially in the middle down at the bottom, it’s a lot of scrapping, you’re away on the road so much if you don’t make it to the top, it isn’t worth it.'”

Hager confessed that this piece of advice really changed the way he looked at the industry and helped him stay relevant even after Vince McMahon’s company stopped showing trust in him.
“When you’re being a pro-wrestler, you really have to know what your value is so you can know what to ask for and what not to ask for. That speech from him put that into perspective a little bit more,” he concluded.
