WWE and AEW are two of the biggest rivals in the professional wrestling world today. For the first time in almost two decades, WWE is facing legitimate competition. Just like WCW, AEW has a ton of former WWE talent but also feature a mix of independent wrestlers.

When you think of a rivalry, you’d not want anyone from the opposite company to know about your next move. But it doesn’t matter here, as there are three real-life couples who are split between the rival companies. Who are they? Let’s find out!

Lana (WWE) – Miro (AEW)

Miro fka Rusev debuted alongside, Lana, on WWE TV in 2014. At the time, the ‘Ravishing Russian’ was only the manager of Rusev. The duo would be regularly featured on WWE programming until Rusev’s WWE departure last year. He then debuted in AEW as Miro.

Lana, on the other hand, was not released by WWE, and still continues to perform on the Raw brand. While Miro just started on a quest towards championship gold in AEW, Lana is in a tag team with Naomi and looks focused on winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Dr. Britt Baker (AEW) – Adam Cole (WWE)

Dr. Britt Baker and Adam Cole is another couple who is on opposite ends of the WWE-AEW rivalry. Adam Cole is a mainstay on NXT, and has been the longest reigning NXT Champion in history. On the flipside, Britt Baker has grown into her own as a wrestler, and impressed the world with her recent performances inside and outside the ring.

Adam Cole is regularly in AEW parties alongside Britt. In fact, WWE even showed Britt Baker on screen after Tommaso Ciampa hit Adam Cole with a Air Raid Crash from the top of the War Games structure at NXT TakeOver: WarGames (2019). These two were literally at loggerheads with NXT vs Dynamite until recently.

Cedric Alexander – Big Swole

The third and last couple torn apart between the WWE-AEW rivalry are Cedric Alexander and Big Swole. Alexander has been in WWE since 2016  and is a former Cruiserweight Champion as well as a Raw Tag Team Champion. His wife, Big Swole, is a part of AEW’s ever-growing women’s division.

Cedric Alexander and Big Swole married in 2018 and have a daughter named Adessah together. Alexander and Swole might be the most least known couple from these two companies, and rightly so. Unlike the other two couples in this article, Alexander and Swole live a low-key, low cha-cha life!

Before the recent string of releases, Peyton Royce and Shawn Spears were also another couple in between the WWE-AEW rivalry. However, now, we could very well see Royce in Tony Khan’s promotion after the no compete clause is up.
