Will Ospreay and Seth Rollins are, without a doubt, two of the most well-known and prominent wrestlers today. The British wrestler continues to demonstrate his immaculate prowess, becoming the new AEW International Champion by defeating MJF tonight at AEW All In London, while “The Visionary” continues to be one of the main faces of WWE.
In this sense, fans have been wondering what a fight between the two would be like for some time. A dream match that could only happen if Ospreay ends up signing with WWE. It is difficult to think of a career for Rollins outside the company owned by Endeavor, while the new gold for the Aerial Assassin proves that he would be a part of the Tony Khan-led promotion for a while as well. However, the two did have a war of words that involved a new All-Elite superstar in the past.
Ricochet, the former WWE high flyer, is All Elite now! At AEW All In London, the former Prince Puma made his much-awaited debut in a gauntlet match for the chance to earn an AEW World Title match. But do you know that Rollins earlier had an online dispute with Ospreay where he compared the AEW star with Ricochet? Well, the old tweets from 2019 have resurfaced on the internet again.

In the tweets, Seth Rollins tells the Aerial Assassin that they already had a better high flyer in WWE with Ricochet than being a part of the promotion. The Visionary also reminded Ospreay that he earns much better by being a part of the Stamford-based promotion while Ospreay was still an indie star.

However, it seems like the joke is on Rollins now since the former Prince Puma has left the Stamford-based promotion to be a part of AEW instead. Although considering the tweets were really old, we can’t blame him either. And since then, he has also buried the hatchet. In fact, Ospreay wants to work with the WWE superstar someday in the future.

Have an interesting take?
Professional wrestling fans were surely surprised by the exchange on social networks between the two superstars. The two dedicated several negative comments to each other that aroused the interest of fans. Although many fans thought that there was a real enmity, the truth is that both competitors assured that their little “war” on social networks didn’t contain any traces of malice. In fact, the former WWE World Heavyweight Championship expressed interest in seeing the now-AEW International Champion as a co-worker and facing him one-on-one.
More than four years later, Will Ospreay expressed openness and interest in working with Seth Rollins. “If I could face anyone in a true dream match, it would definitely be Seth. After that exchange on Twitter, it’s something we owe to each other. It would be fun. He’s a big crowd favorite right now, and it shows a lot when you hear fans cheering for his song,” Ospreay told Chris Van Vliet. Well, for now, the match seems like a pipe dream, but you can never say never when it comes to the realm of pro wrestling, after all. What do you think? Would you like to see them fight?
