AEW advertised a segment where Sting would congratulate TNT Champion Darby Allin. ‘The Franchise’ and Darby both came down to the ring, and Sting started putting Darby over. He said he sees a lot of himself in Darby and he only came down to help him last week because he wanted him to have a fair shot at it.

Just as Sting continued talking, Taz, along with Team Taz, interrupted the duo, appearing on the titantron. Taz said Sting and Allin fight street style, while his boys are being gentlemen. He said Team Taz won’t be gentlemen anymore and challenged Sting and Allin to a street fight!

Sting whispered something into Darby Allin’s ear; the TNT Champion then took the microphone and said Team Taz should be careful what they wish for as it just might happen. Allin then handed the mic back to Tony Schiavone and left the ring with Sting.

First, we know there will be concerns around Sting’s health and in-ring future. Well, to clear things out, even though Team Taz challenged for a street fight, it very well could be a cinematic street fight between the two teams.

Honestly, Sting’s health is a top priority and a cinematic match looks like the best road to take for AEW. Anyway, if the ‘icon’ competes in this Street fight, then it would be his first match since announcing his retirement in 2016 and the first match on TNT in 20 years!
