Any past employee of the WWE never leaves a chance to take a shot at Vince McMahon. This time, former AEW tag team champion Dax Harwood, took a dig at his former boss.
Recently, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler added a huge feat to their kitty. FTR made history by topping Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Tag Team 50 list. With this achievement, FTR’s growing list of accomplishments keeps growing.
The duo took to social media to celebrate their achievement. However, they wanted to add a little more spice to their happy moments. Harwood took to Twitter and Instagram to share a picture of Vince McMahon looking at FTR.
AEW will be very happy as it is the second time their Superstars have topped the list. Previously, Jon Moxley had topped PWI 500 list.
FTR was destined to be a great team even when they were in NXT. That’s why, when they decided to leave WWE, Triple H had a hard time trying to stop it.
FTR had some legendary moments in the WWE as The Revival. In a conversation with Talk Sport, FTR member Dax Harwood revealed Triple H tried his best, and while they have no hard feelings towards Triple H, they just felt it was time to move on.
“There were talks with us and Triple H to go back to NXT and they tried very hard to keep us. It was all professional and all respectful and we were very gracious to the offers we got and to what Triple H was going to provide for us, but ultimately, we knew that our time in WWE was over at that time.
“We knew it was time for us to move on because money is great, and I am so fortunate and lucky to take care of my beautiful wife and perfect little six year old daughter because of professional wrestling… If we stayed with the uncertainly that would have been for The Revival, we would have done a disservice to ourselves and professional wrestling. We never want to do that.”
WWE certainly gave away two gems to their main rivals, AEW. The Revival was a breath of fresh air in a tag team division that hasn’t been up to the mark in recent years.
