But everything changed when All Elite Wrestling signed ‘The Best in the World’. WWE went into panic mode after that. The final nail in the coffin was Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson’s surprise debut at AEW: All Out. Bryan wasn’t seen for a long time in WWE and Adam Cole was the biggest attraction in NXT.

There was a time when NXT was deemed to be better than the main roster, now it is nowhere near that level. Cole leaving NXT for AEW has created a major hole in the Black & Gold brand’s roster. There have been growing concerns in the WWE office while AEW is minding its own business. AEW President Tony Khan himself stated, their competition was watching their show in Gorilla. Apparently, they had a monitor with AEW on.
