And he has proved it once again by firing a 45-year-old former ROH champion who was arrested for domestic violence.
The former champion is none other than the AEW producer (ex-producer now) BJ Whitmer. Whitmer didn’t just get the punishment from the state, but from AEW as well for his actions.

The former ROH champion faced the rage of AEW
Recently, the former ROH champion, BJ Whitmer got arrested in Boone County, Kentucky. And the reason behind that was the domestic violence. As soon as this report came out the AEW took immediate action and terminated his contract.
The company shared this news via tweet writing that even though the talent and staff themselves are responsible for their personal actions, still there is no way that AEW would ever unsee a behavior like this.

This tweet has put the stamp on BJ Whitmer’s departure from Tony Khan’s company as the owner surely doesn’t want more negative light after locker room drama related to CM Punk.

BJ Whitmer faced the domestic violence charges
According to the reports, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested BJ Whitmer on June 4, 2023. The AEW producer was charged with first-degree strangulation and second-degree burglary.

Whitmer had to pay $25,000 for bail. But, he still has to face the grand jury for further legal actions.
During his in-ring career, BJ Whitmer was popular as a four-time ROH tag team champion. Apart from this, he was also a good asset for Tony Khan as an AEW producer.
