Tony Khan is again on the verge of attracting brickbats from the rest of the world as his old terror of losing talents recurred back, and this time with a shocker announcement from the top star Shawn Spears.

After Sonny Kiss, Zack Clayton, VSK, Jade Cargill, and a few more, Shawn Spears officially parted ways with the Jacksonville-based promotion but on a good note.

Shawn Spears has been a marquee wrestler in AEW since 2019 and built a place for himself following his significant run in WWE. That said, Khan’s dependable player is now out of his promotion.

The details that emerged regarding his walkout so far, it seemed like his decision to leave the promotion didn’t come from any hard feelings or disagreements between the parties involved. Instead, it’s more likely that Khan and Spear came to a mutual consensus and made it happen for some deeper reason.

Michaels wrote in the departure announcement, ‘This is a personal choice and one that is best for me and my family at this time. ”

He also thanked Khan and every one of the promotions for the memories of a wonderful time.

However, on the contrary, Khan also ended up signing a massive Japanese talent to make up for recent losses

There has been a common narrative about Khan that he can’t just any potential talent slip without trying them once. Despite falling to the recent volatility of the roster, Khan sticks to his practice of stockpiling talents. The recent fruit of his efforts was none other than the Japanese bigwig Katsuyori Shibata.

The NPJW talent signed a multi-year deal with Khan NPJW. The 44-year-old possesses quite a favorable image of AEW due to his previous brief stint and expressed how great he felt to be a part of the promotion.

Now coming back to Shawn Spears departing himself from the promotion, it’s yet to be seen where he will land being a free agent.
