Ever since its inception, All Elite Wrestling has made a name for itself as the first legitimate rival of WWE after WCW. No other wrestling company came so close as to challenge WWE for ratings and fan following. The President of AEW, Tony Khan, credits Chris Jericho for the company’s initial success and a strong debut. For Tony, Jericho made the greatest history anyone could ever make.

Talking on “AEW Unrestricted” Tony said,

“[Chris Jericho] He’s done so much for AEW. He’s one of the people responsible for the launch of AEW. I don’t think we would have had a successful debut without Chris getting behind us. He’s the first-ever AEW champion. He made the greatest history anybody can make. His name will always be associated with this company and he’s also a great host.”

“He’s done a great job on Rampage and we’ve got a great young audience there and Chris is a tremendous announcer. And he said if MJF wins this match, that could be what Chris is doing, but I also think Chris has so much to offer as a wrestler. There’s no reason for Chris to stop wrestling. This is kind of a really self-imposed stipulation, so I’m really torn on this match. But I think it’s going to be tremendous.”

It would really devastate the fans to see Jericho retire from in ring action. ‘Le Champion‘ is one of All Elite Wrestling’s chief attractions, so for him to be only limited to announcing or commentary would be an enormous blow.

At AEW All Out, Chris Jericho will face MJF in one-on-one match. However, the match has the added stipulation that if Jericho loses, he will never wrestle for AEW ever again. This puts an immense weight on Le Champion’s shoulders.
