While AEW and Tony Khan are currently awaiting some big changes( be it positive or negative) with TNT inching closer to losing their NBA media fights to NBC, Dave Meltzer has brought Khan’s past optimistic prediction to notice.

The AEW head honcho isn’t the one to surrender in front of challenges and intense brickbats. Rather, he sticks to his vision and continues to take action in that way, regardless of the opinions people hold of him. Now, it seems Khan could disperse all the negatives by drawing massive growth in the coming year.

There have been certain uncertainties lingering with AEW’s future with WBD as the previous deal is reaching its inevitable end. The announcement of any deal involving a renewal is kept close to the relevant personnel’s chest for the time being. Nevertheless, the rumored loss of the rights of the NBA does bring a cloud of certainty to WBD’s affairs. However, this could benefit AEW in multiple ways.

There’s a potential chance that Warner Bros Discovery might consider rearranging the deck and investing funds to retain its position in the charts. While there’s still no guarantee that reinvestment will include AEW, the negotiation is likely to land in good shape at least. To answer the same curiosity from a random fan on Twitter, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer referred to Khan’s own stance during a pre-Dynasty media call where he elucidated on enormous opportunities coming by 2025.

Meltzer tweeted, ”Tony Khan said on the last press call that from 2025 on they will be very profitable.”

When another fan questioned the credibility of Khan’s statement, Meltzer answered it in a rational manner.

Tony Khan recently did a lot of experiments in the creative realm that ended up backfiring him later. The AEW Boss invested a lump sum of $100 million to set up his dream promotion five years back and has come a long way ever since. But according to Vince Russo, he’s an outright creative failure and shouldn’t rely solely upon himself for the bookings. Allowing a second voice to decide the directions of important matches and angles could turn the tide. The comments from the former WWE writer came after Khan made himself an online figure by allowing himself to be beaten by The Elite and Jack Perry on AEW Dynamite.

However, it will be interesting to see if Khan can deliver up to his words in the year 2025 or not. Perhaps, the loss of the NBA rights could accelerate the winds of change in his favor. What’s your take on the prediction of AEW’s business position in the year 2025? Let us know in the comments.
