May’s wrestling career flourished when she bloomed and achieved fame in the Japanese wrestling scene, signing a deal with World’s Wonder Ring Stardom, one of the finest wrestling promotions in the world. Alongside two heavyweights, Mina Shirakawa and former WWE NXT UK Superstar Xia Brookside, together billed as Club Venus, May had her first official match. Eventually, ‘The Glamour’ took a lot of accolades and honors to her name and let the world know who she was.
But even before that, she used to be a popular name in WWE, but not as a wrestler. The AEW star used to contribute to the company’s growth as a fashion supermodel for its Merchandise shop. Though she never stepped inside the WWE ring as a wrestler, she got her first exposure to the world of professional wrestling through the Stamford-based company.

However, the good news is that Tony Khan has been treating the former WWE personality quite generously so far. The AEW head honcho surprised her with an afternoon call a few days ago, informing her that she would be the key performer at AEW All In this week. It was a dream come true for the British wrestler, who has since been fully committed to delivering a blockbuster show at Wembley.
Khan isn’t wrong in his choice to pick up the right troop for the business this time.
Mariah May has been a quality addition to the AEW female division
May was very much focused on her indie goal in Japan and had never thought about representing AEW in the UK in such a glorious setting, but it happened nevertheless. She was honing her wrestling skills to become a strong competitor in the non-American wrestling organization when Khan approached her with a lucrative offer.
In this regard, Khan said he always felt like May had the potential to become a huge international star someday and hence pursued her relentlessly until she nodded. Tony Khan had shared some incredible storyline ideas to convince her to join the force, and it worked beautifully.

It will be interesting to see if the former fashion model ever considers joining WWE as a talent following her AEW wrap-up (if ever) or not. Also, she has largely been compared to WWE’s Tiffany Stratton, so a match with her will also be a major draw if she ever lands on the other side of the AEW.
