Just days before CM Punk and MJF clash in a dog collar match at AEW Revolution, MJF left Punk busted open. Last week, MJF delivered an emotional promo telling everyone how CM Punk inspired him while growing up.

He also mentioned that Punk’s shocking departure from wrestling years ago had hurt him. And it looked like the heated rivalry could have an emotional ending, as Punk also felt touched by MJF’s promo.

This week on AEW Dynamite, Punk called out MJF and offered him a handshake. However, instead of shaking hands with Punk, MJF hugged him.

It looked all good until MJF returned to his heel character by hitting CM Punk with a low blow soon after the hug.

Soon after that, the rest of The Pinnacle made their way out and prevented the officials from entering the ring. In the meantime, MJF used the Dynamite Diamond Ring to bust Punk open.

The Pinnacle then wrapped the dog collar chain around Punk’s neck and almost choked him. Later, Sting, Darby Allin, and Sammy Guevara came to Punk’s rescue, but the damage was already done.

MJF gave a throwback to the famous CM Punk Promo in ROH

CM Punk has wrestled all across the world in various pro wrestling promotions. And ROH is one such place where Punk showed his talent.

The former WWE champion won the ROH World Championship back in 2005. Soon after that, he delivered a famous promo and turned heel. And tonight on AEW Dynamite, MJF had almost similar lines from that famous CM Punk promo in ROH.
