One such star is EC3 who had a short stint with NXT and is now the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion. He wants Punk to join NWA, one of the oldest pro wrestling promotions in the world. On his recent appearance on the podcast WrestleBinge he said, “To have him (CM Punk) come in would be a game changer, and I think our locker room has a more professional atmosphere sometimes.”

But as Punk continues to get some support from the wrestling world, new details have emerged on what exactly happened backstage that night.
