“If Adam Cole wins the AEW Championship, it’ll change the whole game. Just because he’s that guy that a lot of people don’t think should be playing that role in that position. It will show the diversity of what AEW is all about.”

“You know, I made a statement and somebody had called me on it. He was talking about Adam Cole and I said ‘Adam Cole would probably benefit if he went to japan’. And the thing is, I still stand by that. Adam Cole perhaps would have benefited going to Japan and then coming back over here and negotiating the contract. It might have been a little bit bigger, maybe not, you never know.”

The AEW fans are just happy that they did not have to wait for months to witness Cole’s debut. Had he gone to Japan, there is a good chance he might have stayed there for a long time, as he would undoubtedly shine there.

All Elite Wrestling is the perfect place for a wrestler as talented as Cole. AEW gives equal importance to all its wrestlers and the storylines are compelling, to say the least. Tony Khan made the right decision by putting Cole in the main event with the main event faction.

Cole already is a fan favorite wrestler and his ability to gel with any wrestler gives him an extra edge. WWE made a mistake by letting one of their top talents leave and join their rival company. It will be interesting to see what WWE does in response to AEW’s recent hype and popularity.
