Pakistani-American billionaire entrepreneur and sports tycoon Shahid Rafiq Khan and his son own the NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is also the co-owner of AEW, of which his son is the CEO. While he has never appeared on the show, this episode of Dynamite marked his entry into the promotion. Not much information has come to light about his future appearance on the show as of now. It is clear that Shad and Tony were in Jacksonville not just for AEW but also for the NFL draft.

The draft begins on Thursday, and as co-owners of the Jacksonville Jaguars, their presence is expected. However, fans have speculated on why Shad was present on the show and the future of the storyline.

According to fans, Shad is the backer of the New Elite. After watching Tony squander opportunity after opportunity and the dwindling AEW ratings and viewership numbers, Shad has secretly taken the reins. While this theory sounds interesting on paper, there is a logical reason behind it.

Will the New Elite be fired for attacking their boss?

After the CM Punk and Jack Perry fiasco, it became clear that Tony didn’t stand for disobedience. An encounter between the two led to Punk’s termination and Perry’s suspension until AEW Dynasty. The New Elite straight-up attacked their boss in the ring, which should have led to their termination. If Shad is behind all this, then that possibility remains slim due to his personal agenda in the storyline.
