Tony Khan Rumored to Have Physical Crutch During NFL Draft After Young Bucks Beatdown on Dynamite

Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured one of the most surprising endings in recent months, with Tony Khan taking a beating from Jack Perry and The Elite. This unexpected turn of events came as a shock to the AEW faithful due to the lack of prominence that Khan usually has on television beyond certain important announcements related to AEW.
However, the story surrounding Jack Perry’s months-long suspension and his current friendship with The Elite has made the segment that took place on Dynamite make sense. But what was more surprising was seeing Tony Khan’s father and owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars make his first appearance for the company. A move that has hinted toward the worlds of two different sports colliding. At least, according to some renowned sports insiders.

Right after the ending of Dynamite aired, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Jon Alba, and Alex Pawlowski took no time to discuss all the happenings of the latest edition of the AEW main show. And it was during this conversation that Pawlowski couldn’t help but talk about the worlds of NFL and AEW finally coming together. In fact, he also had a suggestion for Tony Khan. Pawlowski said, “When his dad walked out and looking on, like, ‘What is this?’ I’m just ‘that’s it for me’. Tony Khan needs to be in the war room tomorrow with a neck brace on. Fully commit that there the worlds are colliding between his two worlds; let’s do it.”
Despite the comment being made in jest, the idea has a solid foundation if the promotion and Khan want to fully immerse themselves in the storyline. It is not new for the world of football and pro wrestling to interact, as several superstars in the industry were former football players. Some notable names, such as Roman Reigns and Goldberg, are former professional football players. In fact, Goldberg recently revealed that he had talks with Tony Khan about joining AEW.

Goldberg shuns AEW debut plans
One legend of WCW and the sport is, without a doubt, Goldberg. However, his last phrase in WWE was marred by scrutiny due to the company’s lackluster handling of him. The former WWE champion defeated ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt to become the Universal Champion. Eventually, Goldberg left the company after his discontent of not receiving a retirement match came to light. After this, reports suggested that he could end up at AEW. In an interview with 93.7 The Ticket, the former WCW Champion spoke about this topic and revealed why he won’t be a part of AEW.
Goldberg said, “I’ve talked to (Tony Khan) a number of times throughout the past. This is where you’re gonna get the most blunt answer you’re gonna get from me. The product is too cheesy. The product is too cheesy. It doesn’t deserve to have, whatever; now you’re really gonna get me going.”

He added, “If there was a comparable, viable option as a competitor that would allow me to still look myself in the mirror after I was a member of their roster? Yeah, then it would be a consideration, but not a chance.” From Goldberg’s words, everything seems to indicate that he will not debut in Tony Khan’s company. But what do you think? Will he change his mind after witnessing the recent turn of events that occurred in AEW? What do you make of the prospect of the NFL and AEW world interacting? Let us know in the comments.
