Hobbs recently faced former WWE superstar, CM Punk and suffered a loss. This puts him on a two-fight losing skid, which is definitely not good luck for the young up-and-comer.
Now, Cassidy’s win has advanced him to the next round, which could put him on a collision course with Jon Moxley.
Orange Cassidy has unfinished business with Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley might just be the most violent man on AEW’s roster and his resume is a testament to that. In last week’s AEW Dynamite, Jon found himself battling against Orange Cassidy’s protege, Wheeler Yuta. The match did not last long, as anticipated, and Moxley secured an easy win over the young wrestler.

Cassidy stood by and watched the action unfold, and was left speechless. The bout didn’t last for more than a minute, and now Cassidy might have a chance to redeem his comrade. Following his victory over Powerhouse Hobbs, he has now secured himself a chance to either face Dark Order’s number 10 or Jon Moxley.
It is highly unlikely that number 10 will come out on top, as Moxley has been on a hot streak lately. This will easily pave the pathway for Cassidy to face the most violent man on the roster and maybe take revenge on his friend’s behalf.
