Kenny Omega has recently been engaged in an online feud with a WWE star. The twist to the story is that the two entities have been fighting over video game supremacy. Both Omega and WWE’s Xavier Woods are reportedly good friends. The AEW superstar has even appeared on Woods’ YouTube gaming channel. And now, the two are again fighting over who is the better player of the popular fighting game Street Fighter among the two.

The dispute that began through the UFC fighter Demetrious Johnson appears to be coming to an end already. After hyping up wrestling, MMA, and gaming fans, Omega has declined the challenge to face Woods in a Street Fighter match.

Kenny Omega denies facing WWE star in a virtual match

The feud started when ‘Mighty Mouse’ gave an online warning to Kenny Omega. In a video he posted on social media, Johnson claimed to destroy AEW’s EVP in a match in Street Fighter 6. He was so confident that he allowed Omega to use an ‘advanced controller’ while admitting to using a basic one for himself. Soon after the video was posted, Omega accepted the challenge. He even bragged about his last match with Woods, in which the AEW star had secured a victory.

After the 39-year-old accepted Johnson’s challenge, he received another one from Woods for calling him out. He invited over the AEW star and Johnson at Up Up Down Down in a gauntlet match involving three of the popular fighting game titles. This deal was also accepted by the Canadian pro wrestler.

However, things went downhill once Xavier Woods star tried to finalize things for their upcoming virtual match.

Everything seemed perfectly aligned as Woods set up a match among the three of them, including the UFC star as well. But when the WWE star called out Omega for not doing anything on his gaming channel, it made him angry and change his mind.

Woods had said, “Kenny doesn’t ever do anything on his own company gaming channel.” In return, Omega replied, “I don’t wanna do anything for yours either. You’d better mosaic my face in post-production.

After he denied wanting to do anything for Woods’ gaming channel, he also asked him to ‘mosaic’ his face before uploading the video on his channel. This indicates that the wrestler was most probably messing around with this tweet.

It could be possible that Omega might be trying to scare their fans into thinking that the event won’t take place. The wrestler was most probably kidding about getting his face censored so that he doesn’t appear in the 37-year-old’s video either.
