“I Put a Bullet..”: The Truth Behind Hulk Hogan Ruining His Daughter’s Relationship in 2013

Excelling in one sphere of life doesn’t make anyone a perfect person. Hulk Hogan learned this lesson the hard way and ruined a lot of careers and people in the process. He has been doing this ever since his climb to the top of the ranks in WWE.

One of them being his daughter, Brooke Hogan. Ever since Brooke grew up and was a figure in the public sphere, Hogan has been protecting her like a hawk.

During his TNA run, there was even an entire storyline based on the fact that Hogan controls his daughter’s life meticulously.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he has done this in real life before as well. And in 2014, his involvement led to Brooke not marrying this player from the Dallas Cowboys.

Hulk Hogan once revealed his involvement in his daughter’s failed engagement

In June 2013, the then-26-year-old Brooke Hogan excitedly announced that she was engaged to Dallas Cowboys center Phil Costa. She even mentioned that he had proposed in Las Vegas.

At the time, Hogan was overjoyed about the announcement, but just five months later in November, the two broke it off. Talking about it Hogan said in an interview, “I love the Dallas Cowboys, been a fan forever. But my daughter was engaged to one of those guys and he didn’t walk the walk and talk the talk.”

“I put a bullet in that really quick. Because there was no way my daughter was going to marry somebody that I don’t like that got me mad or got in my face. There was a little run-in with only one of the Cowboys. But you know what, he knew better than to step up. Cause he would have gotten slammed just like Andre the Giant.”

Despite Hogan’s personal feelings about the Dallas Cowboys center, Costa is a really skilful player. With his commitment to the Dallas Cowboys for four years and then his subsequent retirement from football, he had a fulfilling career.

But Brooke’s decision to call off the engagement should’ve been her own and not influenced by her father so much.
