2K Teases ‘40 Years of WrestleMania’ Showcase Mode With Their Latest Drop Ahead of WWE 2K24 Release

WWE is trying its best to make WWE 2K24 its best video game ever. The latest edition of their 2K series has already gathered a lot of fan attention thanks to the WWE 2K24 social media page dropping major hints every now and then to never let the hype die.

And it looks like they have dropped another major hint, with an update that would bring back a mode that fans have been craving for almost a decade. What is it? Let’s find out.

2K24 brings back the showcase

The latest edition of the game is ready to bring back several fan-favorite elements from its prior games. Whether it be the tunes of Downstait or the guest referee stipulation, the game is said to be a crowd-pleaser already with the revival of long-lost features.

And one such lost feature was the WrestleMania showcase. Ten years ago, WWE 2K14 introduced a showcase mode that focused on the history of the biggest event in sports entertainment, WrestleMania. It allowed players to relive some of the biggest matches in WrestleMania history. And with the recent hints that the 2K24 Twitter page is dropping, it seems like the showcase mode is a sure thing.

Earlier, they posted a picture of a casket, a possible nod to the Undertaker, who has been a constant attraction for the events. Maybe it could be a hint toward his showdown with Mark Henry at WrestleMania 22, which was a casket match. And now, we have another clue hinting toward the WrestleMania showcase. In a recent picture uploaded on X, the WWE 2K24 Twitter page uploaded a picture of a ladder with the caption “🪜 1.22.24 #WWE2K24”.

So if they are letting fans relive the legendary matches that took place at WrestleMania through the years, it could be a nod to the ‘No Holds Barred’ match between Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22. The tweet took fans of the game by surprise and they didn’t mince words when showcasing their excitement.
