The new year brought new joys for WWE fans. Fans saw the return of many fan-favorite stars, such as Liv Morgan, CM Punk, Naomi, and more. Apart from that, this year, WWE will be celebrating 40 years of WrestleMania. To commemorate the fortieth anniversary of their flagship Premium Live Event, the upcoming WWE 2k24 will be having the Forty Years of WrestleMania pack. This means the roster is bigger than ever now. However, amidst a ton of familiar faces, fans might be missing two popular faces.

CM Punk and Brock Lesnar are not welcomed in WWE 2k24?

The roster for this year’s video game has been divided into five sections. The first section, which includes all the legends and alumni, consists of names such as Macho Man Randy Savage, Eddie GuerreroAndre The Giant, and many more. While Brock Lesnar is an active superstar up until recently, he could still be considered a legend or an alumni of the promotion. Despite being top in his class, he is not included in the list.

Talking about the Raw roster, while there are many familiar names such as Jey Uso, Gunther, Cody Rhodes, and more, CM Punk‘s name is missing. He made his return to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series PLE. His return turned out to be a huge social phenomenon. While the GMs of Raw, SmackDown, & NXT aimed to recruit him, he decided to go with the Red Brand.

Despite being signed full-time to Raw, he still could not make it to the game’s roster. There could be multiple reasons as to why he was not included in the roster. The primary one could be that his return happened way after the motion capture for the game happened. Thus, including him at the last minute could be an arduous task for the developers.

Despite being signed, Punk is not performing as he is out because of an injury sustained at the 2024 Royal Rumble. But the question is, what happened to Brock Lesnar?

Following this, he was removed from WWE’s websites and anything related to the promotion. This also included the poster for the WWE 2k24 Forty Years of WrestleMania pack. It is reported that John Cena has replaced him on the cover.
