Johnson made the Grammys 2023 a memorable event for the singer. This star once talked about wanting The Rock to become her dad.

At the Grammys 34-year-old singer, Adele got a lifetime surprise from former three-time Grammys host Trevor Noah. While entertaining the crowd, the 38-year-old approached Adele’s table and surprised her.

He said, “The person that Adele has always wanted to meet is Dwayne Johnson…. I found out he’s a huge fan of yours, too”

After saying this, DJ came to surprise her. The 34-year-old singer quickly stood up and got the biggest hug from the 50-year-old Hollywood star. 

Following the hug, they greeted each other and kissed each other on the cheek. This moment quickly went viral because of Adele’s comments about meeting Johnson, as she said last year, to Nikkie de Jager.

Adele said to Nikkie, “Someone I’ve never met, that I think I would actually cry, is The Rock. I was the biggest wrestling fan when I was younger! He sent me flowers because he and his wife couldn’t make it to my show and literally I nearly fell off me chair!”

Apart from surprising Adele, the Jumanji star also presented Best Pop Solo Performance. Adele had expressed her desire to meet the former WWE superstar in an interview in 2021, citing his influence as a father adding to his appeal.

The Rock loves his daughters and is always up for all the games his two little ones want to play with him. He’ll have a tea party with them, let them do makeup on his face, and even sometimes do the makeup for his daughters. Adele highlighted the same and said she wished DJ was her dad.

She said to Nikkie, “He always paints his little girl’s nails and stuff like that, doesn’t he? He’s so cute. I wish he was my dad… Oh yeah, it’s not like I – I haven’t got a crush on him or anything. It’s just, he’s amazing. He’s just incredible. I want him to be my mate. I want him to be my friend.”
