Dwayne Johnson is a worldwide known star and doesn’t need any introduction. Thanks to his career in WWE and Hollywood, he is one of the stars who enjoys having a dual fanbase.

However, having a large fanbase is like having a huge chip on your shoulder. Similarly, ‘The Brahma Bull’s’ following has grown on social media over the years, expect of one when there was a tremendous fall in it.

A couple of months in October back, The Sports Rush covered a story. It was about how The Rock saw a decline in his social media following due to one social media post he shared in 2019 on Instagram.

This incident took place when DJ thanked the American Tank Division for naming a tank after his name. This really made him happy and proud to write a caption for the same.

He wrote, “I’m sending a salute of respect & gratitude to the Blackhawk Squadron 🇺🇸 1st Armored Division for the honor of naming their tank (the most advanced in the world) Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.”

He added, “Heavy duty, bad a**, sexy AF and built to take care of business 😉 — but most importantly, thank you all for your service. Grateful to the bone.” #IronSoldiers #BlackhawkSquadron #1stArmouredDivision #FortBliss #TheDRJ #BloodSweatRespect”

If you are wondering what type of negative comments were shared, see below.

One user wrote, “I think they should name a few nukes after you and really get you excited. Maybe they will make a new gun modeled and named after you that can one day be used against innocents. Or maybe just the bullets. Gosh, so many death machines out there, you must be stoked.”

Furthermore another comment was,“The rest of the world thinks you are the terrorists. Invading country after country for the oil and the profit in the name of “fighting the evil”, and someone wrote, “He just showed his true colors.. I’m not following anyone who is pro war.. we have enough psycho politicians on both sides for that one.”

Clearly, DJ might have not expected this while posting this.

Was this the first time Dwayne Johnson has lost followers on social media?

Well, if you see 2019 was the year The Rock lost followers, then you might be wrong. A year later, in 2020, once again he lost followers to sharing his political views.

Ahead of the presidential elections in 2020, DJ shared a video on Instagram, endorsing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. As per the article of Distractify, he lost several Instagram followers for sharing that video and writing a long caption about the same.
