Recently, IGN shared a tweet talking about Ryan Coogler’s second MCU movie earning Black Adam’s entire box-office collection in one month.
They wrote, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has earned over $400 million at the global box office, making it the most profitable superhero film to be released this fall. Black Adam, which came out in October, has earned $353 million at the global box office.”
However, Dwayne Johnson didn’t take it lightly this time and spoke his mind. He replied, “😂 What a neutral post. I love competing, but @IGN you guys are in the biz with us there’s no competition with the established global brand of Black Panther compared to Black Adam & JSA who a year ago no one even heard of. No need to knock us, we’re new babies and have to grow😊”

The Black Panther sequel collected $330 million in its first weekend. However, Black Adam in its entire one-month collection is $352 million last week. As of now, Coogler’s film has earned $400.4 million and Johnson’s movie earned $354 million.

We can see the WWE legend finally spoke his mind over the recent banter of Marvel vs DC. Black Panther is an established story in an established Marvel Universe. Furthermore, Black Adam was an origin story of The Teth Adam and JSA characters on the big screen.

Fans troll Dwayne Johnson for his comments over IGN’s tweet
The fans quickly came to reply to Johnson’s comments. They took a shot at ‘The Great One’s’ reply to IGN’s tweet and also compared why Marvel is bigger than DCEU.
Has the hierarchy changed?

Lmao all the replies and quotes rambling about "hierarchy of power" conveniently just use that part of the quote. He said "the hierarchy of power in the DC universe is about to change". BP is not a part of the DCU, and interpreting that quote as a diss towards MCU is reaching.

Fans have a few doubts about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever doing better than Black Adam.
Hey The Rock, I'm a huge real DC fan and even bigger fan of you but your post doesn't make any sense.
Why did WB give Black Adam 200M production budget and 100 million marketing budget if they didn't expect to break even 🤔
— Unbiased Snyder Fan (@snyder_all) November 20, 2022
You're project has been in development for over a decade..discussing it's box office performance was an inevitability and you were aware of that going in..don't be salty it's not the news you wanted
— Cookies of Chaos (@ChaosCookies33) November 21, 2022
well, the main reason is you & your team didn't do a good study and have a good understand of the character. Considered you have taken 15 years to make the film, It's a poor adaptation of the character Black Adam. btw, Action alone won't make him cool. Hope BA2 will do better
— ChongCK (@ChrisChongCK) November 21, 2022
Black Adam is a regular movie that just has good action scenes and nothing more, compared to Wakanda Forever, which tells a good story of two nations in conflict and a family mourning the death of a loved one.

But Sir @TheRock you promised to change the hierarchy. Its fuckin Rock movie, no way its gonna make similar money as Shazam when your budget is almost doubled.
You are fooled by snake Jeoff Johns
believing JSA is more popular than
Justice league. https://t.co/nFtKFwhkhh— Ravi Kumar 🇮🇳 (@Ravi7DC) November 21, 2022
Fans left no stone unturned in trolling The Rock.
This is a beyond embarrassing reply

Bro went from ‘the hierarchy of power’ to ‘no one knows who we are’ and ‘we are babies who need to grow’ the man has no shame 😂😂 https://t.co/LnaQpJjoJh

“we’re new babies and have to grow” This makes no sense since the DCEU has been a thing for almost 10 years now, and it makes even less sense since I’m pretty sure even the first Iron Man movie sold more than Black Adam lol https://t.co/AHuvqJLWfn

However, there were few fans who came to the support of the Teth Adam actor and agreed with his comments over the Black Adam vs Black Adam 2 social media banter.
That's true. The two films are incomparable. That's like fans trying to compare Chris Brown to Michael Jackson, even Chris had to tell his fans to stop it. IGN knows better. Black Panther is in a league of its own.

Hey, Mr. Johnson! I loved BLACK ADAM 1000 times better than WAKANDA FOREVER which you can't say enough bad things about this theme-park ride trying desperately to pass itself off as a genuine dramatic feature film.

Give it some time the DCEU will reborn from it's ashes but you need to hear the fans what they want and also add what u want
The movie was pretty cool I'll give u that but hear the fans is the most vital thing to achieve success from now on the baby will grow definitely 😁— Blowyoumind (@Blowyoumind1) November 21, 2022
