“He Always Finds the Heart & Soul..”: Dwayne Johnson Shares His Friendship With DC’s Black Adam Director

Dwayne Johnson has been dropping massive behind-the-scenes photos from the set of DC’s Black Adam film set. For Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, the Black Adam project has been the most challenging and interesting one.

However, Dwayne Johnson has prepared himself to carry DC’s Black Adam character on his back and give his best, thanks to the director of Black Adam, Jaume Collet-Serra! This further proves that The Rock is one man who never fails to build a strong relationship and maintain it.

Well, director Jaume Collet-Serra is one of them. Dwayne Johnson expressed his time with Black Adam’s director as the final filming of the film approached.

This is not the first time The Rock has been keen on staying close to the people who helped him climb the ladder of success. For instance, Dwayne Johnson took Brain Gewitz under his wing after his time away from the WWE. Brian Gewitz was a WWE writer. When Johnson booked his ticket to Hollywood, he brought Gewitz on board with his Seven Bucks Production.

Speaking of Black Adam’s director, Jaume Collet-Serra, Johnson can’t thank this man enough! Today, The Rock shared a picture on his Instagram with the director and told the fans about his passion for making films.

The Rock captioned, “This is my second film with my director Jaume Collet-Serra. Our first collaboration was JUNGLE CRUISE, so we love taking big swings for our global audience. He always finds the heart & soul in our stories.”

Johnson is working with Jaume Collet-Serra in back-to-back two films, and he admires working with him. The Rock couldn’t stop singing praises of Black Adam’s director as he poured his heart into creating incredible stories.

How did The Rock and Black Adam’s director Jaume Collet-Serra joined forces for this film?

Back in 2018, the director Jaume Collet-Serra pitched the WWE superstar to create Black Adam. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Serra agreed to make the most “electrifying” and the strongest meta human on Earth.

They vouched DC’s Black Adam would change the paradigm for an anti-hero character. The Rock is prepared to give his fans a lifetime of an experience with the DC’s supervillain film.

Johnson added, “Jaume said, ‘Let’s make BLACK ADAM, the DIRTY HARRY of all superheroes and some supervillains.’ A ruthless, unstoppable God who lives by a code to protect his family and his people.”

In addition, Johnson has connected himself to the Black Adam character entirely. The director recently filmed the iconic moment wherein Black Adam takes his high throne.

Eminently, since Black Adam is a mythological character, The Rock did not sit on his throne during the shoot. However, the final touches of filming the Black Adam have been done, and Dwayne Johnson has announced that Black Adam’s World Premiere trailer will drop on the 8th of June, 2022.
