Dave Bautista aka Batista for WWE fans is quite private about his personal life. Very few know about what he does while he is not on camera. He has been married thrice in his life and had separated from all his wives as of today. However, Jim Cornette recently made a grave mistake about the fact of his second ex-wife Angie, who is a cancer survivor. He apologized for spreading the wrong information, as he wasn’t aware of it.

Cornette recently shared being wrong about saying Batista’s ex-wife Angie is passed away. The 61-year-old recently apologized on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast. He made this “innocent assumption” on his recent episode of the Drive Thru podcast.

Cornette said, “All right, I got a correction. But it was an innocent assumption that I made. Apparently when we talked about the rivals show between Triple H and Batista I said unfortunately, I said the young lady named Angie that he was married to (while) he’s time he was here at OVW, she had cancer, and as I said she had passed away. She’s still alive.”

It wasn’t intentional of Cornette to say this, as he wasn’t aware of the same. Angie is a fitness trainer now and is a cancer survivor. The former WWE Champion and Angie married for around years and separated in 2006.

In his autobiography ‘Batista Unleashed’,  ‘The Animal’ has mentioned he is friends with Angie after their divorce. Moreover, he has also written about what led to a divorce between him and is the second ex-wife.

The reason Cornette regrets what he said about Batista’s ex-wife

Batista and Angie were married when he joined OVW and started the path to becoming a WWE superstar. At the time Cornette recalled she “had gotten cancer” while Batista became big in WWE.

He said, “And in one of the years later when he’s a movie star, I see him dating other women. I see a news report saying that he’s single. And then we saw the news four or five years ago on TMZ or whatever the f**k I couldn’t get away from on television that he got married, whatever.”

He added, “So no, you know, is it didn’t work out apparently. She has been a 16-year cancer survivor. And just they got divorced. So she’s still around so I regret that error. I hadn’t, you know, obviously kept up closely with situation but it made me feel better to know that she wasn’t dead.”

The 61-year-old assumed Angie had passed away as he wasn’t aware of their divorce. However, he asked for an apology publicly through his podcast and is glad he is healthy and survived cancer.
