“Love This”: Dwayne Johnson Shares an Emotional Oscar Awards Speech of 67-Year-Old Actor With Whom He “Had the Real Pleasure of Working” Recently

Dwayne Johnson is a family man and is very close to his mother and also was close to his father. He always keeps in touch with his mother, cousins, and other family members.

The Rock has an emotional spot when it comes to family. Recently, he showed this by sharing an Oscar Speech from 2015 of the 67-year-old actor.

A few hours ago, ‘The Brahma Bull’ shared a post on Instagram of JK Simmons’ Oscar speech in 2015. In the speech, Simmons remembered his parents and urged everyone to stay connected with their mother and father.

The Whiplash actor said, “Call your mom. Everybody. I told this like a Billion people or so. Call your mom, call your dad, if you’re lucky enough to have a parent or two alive on this planet, call them.”

He added, “Don’t text, don’t email. Call them on the phone, tell them you love them and thank them and listen to them for as long as they want to talk to you. Thank you. Thank you, mom and dad.”

It seems the speech really emotionally moved The Rock. Therefore, Johnson penned a beautiful caption starting with, “Love this Oscar speech from my friend, J.K. Simmons ❤️Amen, brother.”

Further, he recalled having the “real pleasure of working with J.K” for the past few months on their upcoming movie Red One. He praised Simmons calling him “our generation’s greatest actors”. The Rock also said Simmons is a wonderful man, and he loved their time filming.

A few days back, Johnson shared a post on Instagram in which his mother started crying. This was after opening her Christmas gifts brought by DJ.

He mentioned in the caption that those were tears of gratitude. Ata Johnson is grateful for everything today after spending many “rough” Christmases for many years.
