Despite Calling it a “Touchy Subject”, Dwayne Johnson Once Brutally Addressed a Major Issue in the United States During a WWE Promo

“The Rock for US President!”- This is a catchphrase that became quite famous a while ago. There are several fans, celebrities, and even a few WWE stars have shared their wish to see Dwayne Johnson as US President in the future. 

However, once during his days at WWE, he shared his plans after becoming “The Ruler” of the USA. He had not-so-favorable plans on the “touchy subject” of homeless people.

The Rock once called homeless people ‘trash’!

A few days back, Public Enemies Podcast shared a video on their Twitter. The video was a promo interview of The Rock when he became the Intercontinental Champion in WWE and called himself ‘The People’s Champion’. 

The host asked Dwayne Johnson what plans he has for the homeless people if he was the leader of the US to which he referred as “Ruler”. The WWE legend started, “Tell you what Jenny, that is a touchy subject to The Rock (about) the homeless situation here in America.”

He goes, “Rock feels like this, ‘as long as The Rock still has his palatial palace down on South Beach of Miami, Florida, he couldn’t give a damn whether they’re living refrigerator box or can more box.”

Johnson adds, “As long as that homeless piece of trash keeps their cardboard homes off The Rock’s freshly mowed grass, everything will be copacetic.”

‘The Great One’ was indeed in character, as this was a segment. DJ nearly experienced homelessness when he was a child when his family was evicted from their Hawaii home. Moreover, the Johnson family had difficulties to fulfill their daily needs at one point.

Nevertheless, fans can see his dedication in this promo. Even though he calls it a touchy subject, he stayed in character to talk ‘trash’ about the same. In real life, DJ makes every effort to help homeless people and is good to people. Hence, the reason fans want to see Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the President of the United States.

Does Dwayne Johnson actually have plans to become the US President?

Several people are rooting for The Rock to become the US President in the future. However, the Black Adam actor has no plans to run for the top seat of the country.

He said to CBS Sunday Morning, a few days ago, being president is “off the table.” As of now, DJ, wants to spend time with his family watching his elder daughter succeed in WWE, and two younger daughters grow.
