This year’s Grammy Awards saw Dwayne Johnson make his appearance felt. He appeared at the award function a few days after Royal Rumble happened in Texas. The Brahma Bull had a great time and met several other stars, including celebrity WWE superstar Bad Bunny. However, several fans recently took a jibe at The Rock for going to Grammys over WWE Royal Rumble.

A picture of The Rock and Bad Bunny circulated on Twitter. WWE fans, who were hoping ‘The Great One’ would appear at Royal Rumble, took a shot at DJ for appearing at Grammy Awards. As per Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock isn’t in shape to be in the ring.

The report said, “We were told that unless he changes his mind in the next few days, since a deadline for Mania plans is coming, that he’s indicated he won’t have time to get into the kind of shape he feels he needs to be in to do a main event match with Roman Reigns.”

It added, “But kept the door open for something in the future. Of course, it is a possibility that it’s something being kept a secret from everyone.”

Surprisingly, WWE was aware of the same for a long time and they had a backup plan. The doors are not completely closed on a return, for DJ as he has not completely turned the offer to appear during Road to WrestleMania, “but the only indication is that it was considered less likely than a few months ago.”

It disappointed several WWE fans when The Rock didn’t show up at Royal Rumble. Many thought this was the year when Roman Reigns vs The Rock would happen at WrestleMania 39.

Bad Bunny got all the praise from the fans while they trolled DJ. The People’s Champion said he wasn’t in shape and fans trolled him for appearing in the Grammy Awards over WWE.

The Rock has several projects in the pipeline and also the rebooted XFL is around the corner. A couple of days ago he shared a post on Instagram wrapping the shoot for the Red Notice sequel Red One.

As of now, he will be busy promoting XFL and several other things about the league. However, wrestling fans are still wondering if he will make an appearance at WrestleMania 39 as it is in Hollywood.
