WWE has a talented women’s roster filled to the brim. There are so many women, that quite often, a few are released without ever realizing their true potential in the company. One such former WWE Superstar is Chelsea Green.
Despite her immense potential, she couldn’t showcase it to the WWE Universe.
Green’s WWE career was plagued by injuries. She injured her wrist in 2019 during her time in NXT.

She injured it again on an episode of SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series last year. Sadly, we didn’t see Green back on WWE TV as WWE released her on April 15, 2021.

Chelsea Green to return to Impact Wrestling after return from injury?
Ever since Green got released, fans have wondered where she could end up next. After all, she is a good wrestler and even better character. We all know how creative her mind is, and her time in Impact Wrestling as Laurel Van Ness a few years ago proves just that.
According to Fightful Select, Chelsea Green won’t be out of action much longer. The ‘Hot Mess’ will be cleared for in-ring action in about six weeks from now.
The clearing timeframe is close to the date Green’s 90-day no-compete clause ends. And interestingly, another report suggests that she already maybe in talks!

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported Chelsea Green is already in talks with Impact Wrestling. However, he noted that no contract has been signed.
It’s interesting to note that Green was one of the many released wrestlers and free agents Impact Wrestling teased during a teaser of Slammiversary 19.
For those unaware, Chelsea worked in Impact Wrestling from 2016 to 2018 under the ring name, Laurel Van Ness. Green did a terrific job with the character and even added more depth to it with maniacal touch. She also won the Impact Knockouts Championship once in her first tenure in the company.
