Mickie James brought the wrestling world to attention with her recent post on Twitter, in which she showed her belongings being sent to her in a trash bag from WWE following her release from contract.
The tension that followed led to the immediate firing of the person responsible, identified as Mark Carrano, and a huge personnel shuffle behind the scenes of the company. From what we understand, WWE took this issue seriously immediate action was meted out to the people responsible for the mess.
.@MickieJames I am embarrassed you or anyone else would be treated this way. I apologize personally and on behalf of @WWE. The person responsible is no longer with our company. https://t.co/nvN4WsKC0I

WWE Chief Branding Officer Stephanie McMahon publicly apologized to Mickie James on Twitter and admitted she was embarrassed at the rude gesture. WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H also confirmed that the company had fired the person responsible.
In a recent post on Twitter, Mickie James accepted Stephanie’s apology but passed a snide remark on how she was treated in the final months of her career in the company.
Thank you Stephanie. I appreciate that as I am equally embarrassed. I know this wasn’t a malicious act. However it did feel very symbolic to how I was presented in the last 3 years. https://t.co/ih99BtNYTD

This turned a lot of eyes, but James did not get as much support as she did in the original tweet. Fans immediately criticized Mickie for publicly making that comment and felt it should have been discussed privately following the initial tweet.

Mickie James was not booked well for her final WWE run
Although, one can understand why she implied that she was treated like a trash bag. Mickie James’ final run in WWE was more of a swan song than a last hurrah. Fans expected WWE to give her one more title run, but her match against the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka was called off for unknown reasons.
Additionally, WWE pushed her off-air by not casting her in any brand during the annual draft of 2020, leaving her with no place to go but NXT. We didn’t see James compete since then, but she did make an appearance for Raw Legends Night, which was the first Raw episode of 2021.
