35-Year-Old Former Women’s Champion Pays Homage to WWE Hall of Famer Lita With Her Latest Outfit

The biggest result of this week’s Raw was that Lita finally won a championship in WWE after 18 years. The Hall of Famer has been an influential figure in a lot of women’s careers who left a mark on the industry as well. Case in point, Becky Lynch has repeatedly mentioned how monumental Lita’s career has been for getting her into wrestling in the first place.

Over the years, many wrestlers have honored this legendary wrestler with in many ways. Some wrestlers used her move in an important match, while others displayed their love for Lita in their gears. But this former SmackDown women’s champion paid homage to Lita in a manner, no one expected it from her in the most subtle way.

This week we saw Carmella and Asuka, the last two remaining wrestlers in the Elimination Chamber, face off. Here, Mela unveiled a new gear specifically for this edition of Monday Night Raw. As this was supposed to be Lita’s big main event night, Mela wanted to show her love for the Hall of Famer. With full pants, big belt and armbands, she was serving classic Lita from the early ’00s.

It must have been a great moment for Mela, but it wasn’t her night on Raw this week. While she lost to Asuka, Adam Pierce did give her a match with the champion in a non-title bout. Also, it seemed as if Mela had also found an ally in Chelsea Green. Next week, we’ll see if Carmella can make her way into the big match between Bianca Belair and Asuka at WrestleMania 39.

But it was a big night for Lita as she got to hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside her partner, Becky Lynch, as well as her best friend, Trish Stratus.

Also, this makes it clear that the Hall of Famer will have a WrestleMania 39 match which would blow away the fans. Also, it would be fulfilling for Lita as well as fans will be able to see legends who paved the way to women’s evolution hold the titles that wouldn’t be here without them in the first place.
