CM Punk is arguably one of the most divisive figures in the pro-wrestling world today. The 44-year-old is often vocal about issues and doesn’t spare even the closest of his allies. In 2022, The Best In the World ruthlessly took down his close friend, Colt Cabana, during the infamous AEW All Out Media Scrum. This eventually led to Punk’s suspension from AEW.

However, Cabana wasn’t the only one Punk was rude to. During his stint with the WWE, he verbally attacked a 2x WWE Champion, despite the latter praising him. Punk, however, reportedly cleared his issues with the superstar during their recent meet during WWE Raw.

CM Punk resolved his issues with The Miz backstage at WWE Raw

Both CM Punk and The Miz were friends before the former ended it. While The Miz has been relatively quiet, CM Punk over the years has had a lot to say about his old friend.

He even questioned the 2x WWE Champion’s professionalism and alleged that The Miz didn’t prioritize wrestling.

Meanwhile, according to PWInsider, CM Punk resolved his underlying issues with The Miz during their recent meeting backstage during WWE Raw.

According to reports, Punk, a 3x WWE World Heavyweight Champion, appeared backstage during Monday Night Raw on April 24. Though he didn’t stay very long, the 44-year-old interacted with several talents from the company, including The Miz.

“Punk remained in that area and spoke to a number of talents who happened to be walking by, including The Miz. We are told that they spoke for some time, clearing whatever issues were between them from the time period Punk was on WWE Backstage,” PWInsider reported.

Punk, who became a WWE Champion before The Miz, was upset with the latter headlining WrestleMania 27. This is believed to have tarnished his relationship with the 42-year-old.

Meanwhile, CM Punk is yet to make his in-ring return since the infamous media scrum in September.

When will CM Punk return to the AEW?

After his WWE backstage presence, The Second City Saint was also present at Impact Wrestling to witness the debut of former WWE superstar Naomi. Interestingly, he hasn’t been seen anywhere near his present employer, AEW, since the controversy.

Meanwhile, AEW has announced its marquee event, All In, to take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on 27 August. It wouldn’t be wrong to believe that Tony Khan would need Punk’s service before that. The polarizing athlete is one of the biggest names in AEW and is a bona fide star. Having CM Punk in the lineup is likely to boost ticket sales.
