“A Shared Universe”: Dwayne Johnson Leaks Potential DCEU Plans Ahead of Black Adam Release

Dwayne Johnson is a celebrity that makes the world go around. His personality has always shined through brilliantly, even in his days as a wrestler. But as a producer, his role has never been bigger, and managing Seven Bucks Production is a different story altogether. With so much on his plate, some plans are bound to leak. No, it was not the Internet, but the man himself.

Starring in Black Adam, Johnson is cast alongside some of Hollywood’s brightest. Pierce Brosnan, a former James Bond!!! is playing the role of Doctor Fate. Noah Centineo is playing Atom Smasher and if you know Netflix, you surely know how big is Noah there. Finally, there is Aldis Hodge who will be playing Hawkman. Hodge starred in the hit TV show Leverage and its sequel running since 2008.

Dwayne Johnson suggests solo movies for characters in Black Adam

Sitting down with GamesRadar, Dwayne Johnson revealed, “The goal is to really expand the universe and introduce new characters, and spin-off, and be really strategic about the plan. We have a few ideas of what characters people are really going to respond to in Black Adam, and so we’re already thinking ahead to: ‘Let’s start thinking about that movie, and what that movie looks like for them.’”

Even the producer, Hiram Garcia, chimed in saying, “I think our ambition has always been that this is all a shared universe, you know? While [Black Adam and Shazam] may not be crossing paths, everything exists in a big umbrella of the DC universe. And we want to be able to build out the universe as big as we can, and, you know, with those ambitions. If everything’s received the way we hope it will be, we have opportunities to potentially see crossovers in certain points.”

This goes along with what the reports revealed that DC was looking to structure a 10-year plan as well. With stars like Pierce Brosnan, who are already certified stars, the DC Universe could make it big. Talking about his character and potential movie, Doctor Fate is a gateway into the magical side of DC. John Constantine, Zatara, and Swamp Thing could also act as the introductions in the Doctor Fate solo film.

But the most potential character with a backstory worth 3 movies alone is Hawkman. His exploits as a hero, his relationship with Hawkgirl, and the historical thread that holds most of DC in place, could also become a great movie. And we know Aldis Hodge for his consistency in roles, being the perfect one for Hawkman. We’re very excited about the possibility of these movies being confirmed officially.
