Seth Rollins endured a long run as the top heel in the company. From his heel turn in January to his hiatus in November, the Messiah has been in true villainous form. Unfortunately, his title as WWE’s top heel was taken from him by Roman Reigns. Since winning the Universal Championship, Reigns has been incredible as WWE’s top heel.

Rollins appeared on WWE’s the Bump where he was asked about his thoughts on Roman Reigns’ current WWE run. Seth and Roman shared the ring multiple times, with the former playing the heel. In 2020, both men found themselves on the same side of the street.

“He’s a guy who, you know, he had to kinda follow the path laid out before him, you know, for years, and done the right thing every step of the way.” After doing the right thing for six years, Reigns finally embraced his dark side. Rollins added, “He’s really marching to the beat of his own drum. He’s really doing his own thing, and its paying dividends.”

Seth finally credited Reigns for going full steam ahead with what he truly believed.

Can Rollins challenge Reigns for the Universal Title?

Roman Reigns has put away three WWE superstars during his Universal Title reign. He desperately needs a new challenge, and WrestleMania presents that opportunity. With the SmackDown Elimination Chamber winner challenging Reigns for the title, we pray the winner isn’t Kevin Owens or Jey Uso.

Rollins might be too undercooked for a WrestleMania outing with his former partner, but a future clash could be on the cards. Roman is the favourite to walk out of WrestleMania as champion, irrespective of his opponent. This presents the opportunity of Rollins vs Reigns at a post-WrestleMania PPV.

Rollins vs Reigns would be a strange match because of the heel vs heel dynamic. However, their in-ring chemistry overpowers any strange dynamic, and will guaranteed be a barnburner of a match.
