Major Update on Adam Cole’s AEW and WWE Negotiations

AEW and WWE may go to war over pro-wrestler Adam Cole!

In recent developments in Cole’s situation with WWE NXT, it’s believed that he is working with the Gold and Black brand on an extended contract. His original contract expired after The Great American Bash. However, he signed an extended one to last him till SummerSlam 2021.

However, when the news broke, everyone knew the company which would try to get Adam Cole on board, it’s AEW. And it happened!

In the middle of Cole’s negotiation with WWE NXT for a new contract, AEW put forward their contract on Cole’s plate. Considering the way AEW is pushing forward in the industry, their contracts are becoming increasingly appealing to the pro-wrestlers.

Moreover, Cole will not have to wait for thirty days after his extended contract expires to work with AEW. As soon as the contract expires, he becomes a free agent. Hence, he can start working with AEW from the very next day.

As of now, Adam Cole has accepted none of the contracts. The situation is still developing, and updates are due for arrival.

Adam Cole will be a huge gain for AEW, enormous loss for WWE

First question – Can WWE afford to lose Adam Cole? The superstar is an integral part of NXT. It’s important for Cole to stay with NXT until the company can bring someone on par with him.

Karrion Kross and Finn Balor have moved to the main roster. So, NXT is anyway not working with an extremely enhanced roster. If WWE loses Cole too, it will affect the overall brand negatively.

AEW adding Cole to the roster will be the addition of the year. He is an established name in the industry; his skills are terrific, and he can keep fans entertained.

Additionally, Cole’s partner Britt Baker is working with AEW. The fans will absolutely love to watch the couple work together, which will be an added advantage for AEW. However, Baker has revealed that she will not be the driving force bringing Cole to AEW, it’s the endless storylines that will be responsible.
