Chris Jericho follows a specific diet from time to time

It will be wrong to say that Chris Jericho does not follow a diet at all.

He has tried different diets, and the one which made an impression on him was the Paleo Diet. He ate only berries, nuts, eggs, meats, and items that could be procured from land. While it worked like a charm, he wasn’t convinced of doing the diet long term.

However, he continues to involve elements of the Paleo Diet. The primary reason he sticks to elements of this diet is to cut out carbohydrates and sugar.

The AEW star likes his meals pre-made

He does not cook as much. For home-cooked meals, he uses a service that will deliver meals to him.

More often than not, his fridge is stacked with pre-prepared meals. Apart from this, his all-time choice of food is barbecue.

Chris Jericho’s advice on cheat days

Chris Jericho does not shy away from cheat days. In fact, anyone who has been in the fitness industry for a while knows the importance of cheat days.

During these days, Jericho prefers to go with gluten-free burgers or gluten-free pizza. While it tastes delicious, it’s much easier for the stomach and does not make him feel heavier after consumption.

Even on cheat days or with cheat meals, Jericho prefers to keep the carb consumption as low as possible.

Chris Jericho opens up about junk food during tours

Coming to Junk food, Jericho usually strays away from it. Therefore, if he is on a tour with his band, Fozzy, he usually opts for healthy food over pizza.

There are days he will eat roast chicken over other items when he is on the road.

Next, he likes to ensure that the nutritional value he receives is aligned with his calorie goals.

So, there is a higher chance of him going for an eight-ounce steak as opposed to a twenty-four ounces one considering both of them provide similar nutritional values. It’s all about balancing the pros and cons.

This advice stems from the fact that he lost track of his diet when he was in his twenties. At that point, he was eating a lot of carbs, sodas, vodka and orange juice, beer, and other items that weren’t suited for a diet.

The more he changes his style of workout from pumping iron to yoga and cardio based, the more he realizes the importance of changing his diet to remain fit.
