WWE recently exposed itself to a massive amount of brickbats coming from all across its roster cut program. A blockbuster TKO Holdings takeover promoted the higher-ups to take steps toward an immediate budget cut. And it ultimately led to the abrupt firing of 100 plus employees and a bunch of executives. Superstars also weren’t immune to the aftermath. Talents like Matt Riddle, Mustafa Ali, Dana Brooke, Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, and dozens more had to depart.

Considering the crushing situation of released employees and stars’, it’s quite normal for people to react harshly toward the world’s biggest wrestling juggernaut. Especially, if these critiques include rival promotion’s boss Tony Khan, it had to be a little more ruthless.

Tony Khan never holds back when it comes to taking digs at WWE affairs and vice versa. The two giant promotions have been in an eternal competition since AEW’s inception. Now, when the massive waves of talent cuts hit the rival promotion, Khan clearly made it known that he won’t allow something similar in his company.

Justifying his stance, Khan slammed WWE keeping its business motive at the top. He also kept AEW ahead of WWE in terms of emotional support to the wrestlers like a true family business.

Speaking his mind to WrestleDream, the AEW Boss noted, ”There’s not a lot of loyalty at times and there should be and this is a family business. We’re not a public company.”

Hitting another jibe at Vince McMahon’s company policy, Khan continued, ”Even if I get punched in the face with circumstances, it doesn’t mean I’m gonna take it out on the staff by cutting 100 staff or laying off 30 wrestlers, and I really care about the people here. I would do anything I can to protect the jobs and the livelihood of the people that work here, and that’s a family business, and that’s the difference between a family business and a public company in a lot of ways.”

However, days ago, Khan, too found himself in critique’s gunpoint as his claim over the All In breaking WrestleMania’s attendee’s numbers came out hollow.

Tony Khan falsely claimed to beat WrestleMania 32 records with an inflated All In attendees

The AEW All-In emanating from Wembley Stadium was a grand success for Khan and all the AEW fans. Amidst the success celebration, Khan came to the fore and officially claimed that they clinched the honor of surpassing WWE’s WrestleMania attendees numbers with a whopping 81,035 crowd.

However, the Freedom of Information office for the Brent Civic Center had something else to say. According to their finding, the actual numbers were 72,265 which is still less than the WrestleMania 32 numbers.
