Former WWE Champion taken out by The Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. could be on his way back soon. In his last appearance on SmackDown, AJ Styles was brutally attacked and taken out in an ambulance. Styles was set to face The Bloodline while teaming up with John Cena.
Now a recent report has revealed that he will return to WWE TV programming after months away from action.
AJ Styles set to return to SmackDown after two months off TV

Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer wrote an update on the absence of AJ Styles. On December 5th he reported “AJ Styles is gonna be back on Friday. Or he’s supposed to be back on Friday – he was supposed to be back a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t back. But that’s the plan right now.”
According to the report, AJ Styles will be back on WWE TV after a break of 78 days. Styles was expected to be back to TV programming by November 24 but for some unstated reason, he didn’t return.

In the storyline, he was out due to an injury suffered on the SmackDown show on September 22 at the hands of The Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Fans thought that Styles had a legitimate injury for which he was written off TV, but it was later revealed that he had taken time off from wrestling.
As of now, he is a part of the OC group which has also not been on the regular TV since Styles was written off. He was earlier set to team up with John Cena to face the Bloodline at Crown Jewel.

Now he will likely be back by 8 December for the Tribute to the Troops edition of the show. But what is the plan for AJ Styles now if he returns to WWE? Rumors are that he will face a top performer in the company.

Now that Styles’ return is all but official, WWE could have major plans for him. The Phenomenal One could look for revenge against The Bloodline and may end up facing Solo Sikoa. There is also a chance that Styles could be the next challenger for Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble.
