Amidst this news, it was reported that Rey Mysterio, who is Dirty Dom’s father and his foe in WWE, has also been offered a new contract as well. There are no reports on how long his new contract will be, but both the Mysterios are here to stay for some time now.

Currently, Rey Mysterio has embarked on a medical hiatus followed by a brutal attack unleashed on him by his former stablemate Santos Escobar. Mysterio underwent knee surgery back in November and has stated that he is recovering. Fans are familiar that Dominik Mysterio started his career under his father’s ring as his loyal tag-team partner. However, things changed pretty soon making way for a match at WrestleMania 39.

But as WWE has renewed both their contracts, it could be possible that the creatives at the company are planning something big for either of the two. For starters, five years is a very long time. Considering Dom Dom’s sincerity in his work, the chances of him violating any rules of the company that can have his contract terminated are pretty sleek. After that, the father and the son locked horns on multiple occasions only for the Lucha Libre to win the fight.

Following this, Dominik Mysterio might start a solo career and might even become one of the prominent faces of WWE. However, fans might still have to wait some time to see the story unfolds.
