One of the biggest names in Hollywood and WWE, John Cena is currently making a career out of himself in the entertainment industry. With several big projects to his name and a few more to come, Cena once helped turn Hugh Jackman into a complete showman like both of their colleagues, Dwayne Johnson.

Back in 2017, after taking dance lessons from the Wolverine actor, John Cena would help him learn a unique trick from his trade of pro wrestling, which in turn helped Jackman become a complete showman.

Both John Cena and Dwayne Johnson made a name for themselves in WWE, before making it big in Hollywood. Similarly, Hugh Jackman himself had a history with WWE and has appeared on the show once. And during a 2017 promotional event for Hugh Jackman’s The Greatest Showman, the Australian star would teach Cena a few dance steps before his marriage to Nikki Bella.

Although the wedding would not take place, Cena would instead learn a few steps. However, the 16-times-WWE Champion would return the favor by teaching Jackman, ‘reverse trash-talking’. Both superstars taught each other a trick from their own trade. Cena would claim that reverse trash-talking is a part of a wrestler’s training, and the final step in becoming the greatest showman.

Reverse trash-talking is the art of saying beautiful things or complimenting one’s opponent with the body language of trash-talking aggressively. After Cena taught Jackman the craft, he would try his own hand at it.

Jackman would turn to Cena, and yell aggressively, “Is that it John Cena? Is that it? With your blue eyes and your perfect hair and your beautiful three piece suit? Your expensive fashionable three-piece suit, you look amazing John Cena. You understand me? You are amazing.”

The Leader of Cenation would be proud of his student’s progress, and claim, “He is ready.” The entire segment is extremely hilarious and is a must-watch for any John Cena or Hugh Jackman fan. At the end of the day, both superstars would go home with a new trick in their bag.

But how exactly did the Wolverine actor teach Cena to dance?

Before their eventual breakup in 2018, Cena and Nikki Bella would be engaged to each other for around a year. However, their conflict of decisions over starting a family would lead to their breakup. At the James Corden show in 2017 prior to their separation, Jackman would teach Cena a few dance steps for his wedding.

While Cena could never share the dance with Nikki Bella, he did indeed go home with a new talent. Jackman would jump onto the dance floor and said, “I know Nicole’s gonna wanna lead, so you don’t have to be the female; I’ll be the female. Just look in the eyes. Just relax; it’s just you and I for the rest of our lives, John.”
