After almost 19 years, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returned to his hometown for a WrestleMania bout after Kevin Owens challenged him on his “KO Show” in an episode from March 2022 on Raw.

The Texas-born superstar and The Prizefighter headlined night one of WrestleMania 38, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The match was a No Holds Barred match that saw the former emerge victorious at the end.

Rumors suggest that the WWE Legend might return one more time to the Grandest Stage of Them All this year.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin may appear at WrestleMania 39

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently shared a piece of news on Twitter. It stated FightSelect.com has learned that WWE is trying to get Austin to fight at this year’s WrestleMania, too. As for now, the only update on this matter is who might square off against the Texas Rattlesnake next month.

As per the reports, WWE is trying to get the 3-time Royal Rumble winner to go one-on-one against LA Knight at The Show of Shows. However, whether the former has accepted the offer is still unknown. Moreover, this match has been on the cards for quite some time, with Knight expressing his desire multiple times to have a LA Knight Moment at WrestleMania 39.

In addition, earlier WWE also pitched for the 2-time WWF Intercontinental Champion to wrestle against some of the top names in WWE. One of which was The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. But the monetary offer put on the table by WWE was not acceptable to Austin.

Also, the pro wrestling company wanted to make the 1996 King of the Ring winner vs Roman Reigns fight at The Show of Shows, this year, but there was no response from the former on this matter. The wrestling community expressed their delight at the news and shared their reactions on social media.
