After Saying ‘Hulk Hogan Is a Better Worker Than Ric Flair’, $25 Million WWE Legend Slapped With ‘S*cking Up’ Accusation

There have been several names in WWE’s history that rose to massive prominence with their work in the promotion. Two such decorated wrestlers were Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, without a doubt. Their performance in the business not only benefitted them but turned out to be highly profitable for WWE as well. 

Both superstars have expansive fan bases throughout the world. Nevertheless, a WWE legend opined that one among the duo is more highly rated than the other. Because of this, he even slammed one comment from Chris Jericho that favored The Hulkster. 

Former WWE commentator calls out Chris Jericho for his comments on Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair

Speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru podcast, the former WWE commentator reflected on Jericho’s comment of Hogan as a better worker than Flair. Listening to this, Cornette was first shocked. However, he soon came up with an amusing reason for why The King of the World must have said that. 

Jim Cornette said, “Jericho must think that he lives close to Hogan and Flair lives hundreds of miles away, so he wants to be nicer to Hogan.”

A few moments into the discussion, Cornette appeared furious. He wasn’t able to conclude why would the Lionheart pass such a statement. Although, it wasn’t the first time that Jericho pinpointed a great thing about The Hulkster. 

He said, “Just to make a blanket statement that Hogan was a better worker than Flair and the connotation that would give he’s trying to suck up to Hogan for some reason Jericho is, I’m just not sure what.”

After attaching a witty reason to Jericho’s comments, the 61-year-old WWE legend went ahead to explain how wrong the AEW superstar is with his opinion.  

In order to do that, Cornette gave a controversial statement. This happened while he was putting forward his opinion of who is a better in-ring performer between The Hulkster and The Nature Boy.

Further into the conversation, Jim Cornette also admitted how Hogan was a great worker in the promotion. He also mentioned the legend being athletically, physically, and even psychologically sound, making him an exceptional wrestler in the business. However, that being said, Cornette still disagrees to give The Hulkster the pick over Flair. 

He said, “Hogan drew more money because he was in the bigger company but can anybody ever say that Hulk Hogan was better inside the ring as a performer than Ric Flair, with a straight face, that’s insane.”

This personal yet controversial stance of Cornette on the debate of who is better among Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair is now out in the open. However, it remains to be seen how the legends involved in the debate react to it.
