Fans dropped in their thoughts on who should walk out with the Slammy, but it wasn’t just them. Many WWE Superstars dropped their picks for breakout star of the year, including The Fiend’s best friend, Alexa Bliss.

The 5-time Women’s Champion backed her ex-fiance, Murphy, as the ‘Breakout Star of the Year’ by dropping his name in the comments. Well, with the run he’s had, even we would back the former ‘Disciple’ of Seth Rollins.

The history between Bliss and Murphy

Twisted Miss Bliss‘ and Murphy were engaged to be married but called off their engagement in 2018. Despite ending their engagement, both Bliss and Murphy continue to share a nice friendship.

They worked together in NXT when Alexa Bliss aligned herself with the team of Blake and Murphy. The trio had a successful run on the black and gold brand before going their separate ways after Blake and Murphy lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to The Vaudevillains.

Since then, Alexa has made her main roster debut and won the Women’s Championship 5 times, the Women’s Tag Team Championship 2 times, and is the second Women’s Triple Crown Champion in WWE.

Murphy, on the other hand, was a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and also held the Raw Tag Team Championship with Rollins late last year.

Even after all these years, it’s nice to see Alexa Bliss and Murphy on the same page. Plus, there is no one who’s had an influential impact than Murphy in the WWE. The Street Profits and Otis come close, but for us and Alexa Bliss, Murphy takes away the Slammy.
