AEW president finally revealed the ‘big announcement’ that he promised the fans. It’s no longer a secret that Tony Khan loves to surprise fans with big announcements.

No matter if it is about the jump shift of any wrestler from another brand or the return of any star, Tony Khan is all about leaving the fans’ jaws dropped. And he did the same, during the ‘AEW Dynamite’ when he announced that the company is launching a new reality show.

However, the major highlight is that this is a replacement for Cody Rhodes’ show whose second season was supposed to air last year. The American journalist Dave Meltzer revealed that Tony Khan is releasing ‘All Access’ as a substitution for the unfinished ‘Rhodes to the Top’

Dave Meltzer puts light on the intentions behind the new AEW show

While speaking to ‘Wrestling Observer Radio’, Dave Meltzer said that AEW earlier wanted to bring a reality show based on the life of wrestling couples. However, due to some circumstances, it didn’t happen and Tony Khan switched towards ‘All Access’.

While revealing the fact, the American journalist said, “They actually were going to do an earlier reality show with the couples, which this is sort of an offshoot of, but they basically didn’t get it done and put on the schedule.”

He further explained that the show is a long-awaited replacement for Cody Rhodes’ show ‘Rhodes to the Top’. That show didn’t reach its destination because of Cody’s departure.

“And essentially this really is the long-awaited replacement show for ‘Rhodes To The Top’…….Which was going to air last year. They’d actually started filming it when Cody left the company. So it’s a new reality show, but they’ve done Rhodes To The Top before. And, they’ve done the reality show thing before so it’s just kind of an extension of what was already done.”
