Prior to Night of Champions, Cody Rhodes was riding a high tide. He came fresh off defeating Brock Lesnar at WWE Backlash 2023 and leaving him in a pool of bloody mess. However, at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, things took a wrong turn. Brock Lesnar would specifically target Rhodes’ broken arm throughout the match and catch him multiple times in the Kimura lock. Rhodes would fight his way out of it several times, before finally passing out of the painful hold.
The American Nightmare suffered a humbling defeat at the hands of The Beast Incarnate. And soon was also served a humble pie from WWE Hall of Famer Booker-T. Booker-T recently on his podcast opened up about a former WWE Diva and directly compared her with Cody Rhodes.

What did Booker T claim about Cody Rhodes, and whom did he directly compare Rhodes to?
Six-time World Champion Booker T is arguably one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time. With years of experience, the Hall of Famer is one of the most respected figures in the industry. Speaking on his podcast, T compared former WWE diva Alicia Fox to Rhodes.

He said, “It’s all about putting the work in more than anything, and when someone like Alicia Fox, she went straight into WWE. She didn’t do any independent shows. It’s almost like Cody Rhodes. Cody didn’t have any independent wrestling experience before he went into the WWE.”
The 58-year-old would further emphasize the importance of indie wrestling and how it helps shape a wrestler. He continued, “Then he realized that perhaps something he needed was that worldly experience. Then he went out there and got it and look at him now.”
The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes is arguably at the top of the roster currently, and his next move will be keenly observed.

What is next for Cody Rhodes?
After tasting a humiliating loss at the hands of Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions, fans are worried about what is next for Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare is currently nursing a kayfabe broken arm injury, and fans are worried that he would be taking time off.
Going on a hiatus might ruin Rhodes’ momentum. However, miraculously healing his arm injury would not help either as well. It is now to be seen, what WWE has planned for Rhodes in the coming months. Will he be in Money in The Bank match or will the fans have to wait till SummerSlam to see him in action?
