“An Arm for an Arm…”: Ronda Rousey Addresses Arm Injury While Taking a Jibe at 28-Year-Old WWE Star

Ronda Rousey has suffered what appears to be a legitimate injury to her left arm. She got injured during the February 24th edition of SmackDown. As a result, Rousey’s partner Shayna Baszler ended up facing Tegan Nox on this week’s episode of SmackDown instead of a planned tag team match featuring Rousey and Natalya.

‘The Baddest Women On The Planet’ did accompany Baszler to the ring. However, she sported a sling to support her injured arm. Rousey has now, for the first time, commented on her wounded arm. And along with that, took a shot at Nox, who she held responsible for her injury.

Ronda Rousey mentions her injury for the first time

The Queen of Spades, Baszler ran out the winner in her encounter against Nox. And Rousey took to her Instagram to update on the same. The caption for the post read, “Arm for an arm, Skittles @nixonnewell. How’d that canvas taste? #LikeRainbow? Congrats on the carnage @qosbaszle”.

The former SmackDown Women’s champion blamed Nox for her latest predicament. The fans are worried about the injury sustained by Rousey. Particularly, the proximity to WrestleMania 39 is worrisome for many. It has been reported that she has aggravated a previous injury. But her availability for ‘The Showcase Of Immortals’ seems in little doubt.

Nevertheless, Rousey making an appearance on the blue brand indicates she might be back to action soon. The injury to her arm seems less serious. And the spectators would keep a watchful eye on her return to the squared circle. 

Her allegiance with Baszler has meant domination in SmackDown Women’s division for some time. The MMA fighters have targeted Natalya for several weeks. And now it is the turn of Nox to bear the brunt of their power.

Rousey suffered from a gruesome injury in 2019

Rousey also sustained a gruesome injury back in 2019. The freak accident occurred far away from the wrestling ring. She broke two fingers during the shoot of her TV series 9-1-1. The WWE performer also suffered from a nearly severed tendon as per a report by tmz.com. Thankfully, for her many well-wishers, she was out of that ordeal in no time.

 Ronda Rousey would be hoping to shake off this latest setback and return to the ring at the earliest. There are new women’s tag team champions Becky Lynch and Lita around the block. It could be an interesting affair if the WWE decides to put Rousey and Shayna Baszler in the tag team picture against the fan-favorite pairing of Lynch and Lita. We will find it out soon enough.
